Gerhard Gómez, M.D.

Adult Interventional Psychiatrist

Dr. Gómez attended medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed his medical training at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He completed his residency at Banner University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, where he served as chief resident.

Dr. Gomez found true fulfillment in getting to know people and listening to their stories, stressors, and struggles. Thinking outside the box would lead to more effective long-term outcomes for Dr. Gomez’s patients in the future. As a diplomate with Board certification in Adult Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Gomez has provided psychiatric services across all socioeconomic classes. He is proficient in English, Spanish, and conversational Italian. He has worked at the Arizona State Hospital and Valley Hospital and has had a successful private practice. In 2009, Dr. Gomez started his cutting-edge psychiatry program, where he could focus on procedural, hands-on treatment. He found more efficient ways to treat patients, leading to faster results.

Dr. Gomez is currently on staff at Honor Health Tempe Medical Center in Phoenix and provides Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) to those who meet the criteria. Dr. Gomez is experienced in Interventional Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Emergency Psychiatry. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Arizona Psychiatric Society.

Michael Jacobson, PA-C

Michael Jacobson, PA-C, was born in Lansing, Michigan and raised in the Phoenix metropolitan area. He graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2015. His early career in clinical research sparked a deep passion for evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care, ultimately leading him to pursue his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Chicago, where he graduated in 2020.

Since becoming a certified physician assistant, Michael has provided psychiatric care to diverse populations across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. He has experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, and schizophrenia. He is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and holds medical licenses in both Arizona and Ohio.

With a particular interest in advancing mental health treatment, Michael has also served as a clinical trial investigator, contributing to research on innovative therapies for major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. He brings this passion for cutting-edge, evidence-based care to his role at Interventional Psychiatry of Arizona, where he is proud to be part of a team committed to expanding access to compassionate, high-quality mental health services.

Nina Gómez, DNP-PMHNP

Nina Gomez, DNP, PMHNP is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of experience serving the Phoenix community. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University in 2013.

Nina has extensive experience caring for individuals facing serious mental illness, substance use concerns, psychiatric crises, unhoused populations, and justice-involved care. She is especially committed to geriatric medicine, recovery-oriented treatment, and serving people with complex needs.

Her approach is grounded in respect, collaboration, and compassion—meeting each person where they are, listening closely, and working together to support meaningful, sustainable healing.

Jessica Cruz, PMHNP

Jessica Cruz is a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides thoughtful, personalized care to individuals seeking support for their mental health. She takes a patient-centered and holistic approach, combining medication management, supportive therapy, and evidence-based practices to help patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvement.
Jessica works closely with each patient to understand their unique experiences, goals, and challenges. She provides care for a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and more complex psychiatric concerns, tailoring treatment to meet each individual’s needs.
With advanced training in psychiatry from Herzing University and a strong background in behavioral health, acute care nursing, and clinical education, Jessica brings both clinical expertise and a collaborative approach to her practice. She is also involved in interventional psychiatry, helping guide patients who may benefit from innovative treatments such as TMS.
Known for her warm and approachable style, Jessica creates a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their care. She is passionate about reducing stigma, improving access to high-quality mental health services, and helping patients build resilience and long-term wellness.

Noemi Mora

Practice Manager

Noemi Mora is the Practice Manager, bringing a strong background in behavioral health operations, insurance authorization management, and care coordination. She oversees day-to-day administrative functions, works closely with providers on scheduling and treatment logistics, and serves as a primary liaison with insurance carriers and referral sources. Noemi is committed to streamlining processes that support high-quality patient care, timely treatment access, and effective practice growth.

Kenzy Moustafa

TMS Technician

Kenzy Moustafa serves as the TMS Technician, working closely with patients and providers to administer TMS Treatment with expertise. Works closely with patients to coordinate scheduling, and ongoing care. Kenzy plays an important role in guiding patients through the TMS process and ensuring clear communication and continuity of care throughout treatment.

Patient Care Coordinator

Juliana Ramirez is a Patient Care Coordinator dedicated to helping patients feel supported and informed at every step of their care. She assists with scheduling, coordination, and patient communication to help make the treatment process as seamless as possible.
